  • Press Conferences

We went to California for my Father-in-law’s memorial service last week.  It is possible to miss people and yet have the joy of knowing God is still running the Universe!

May your Thanksgiving be blessed with God’s presence!

When you’re thinking about your blessings this Thanksgiving, remember to thank God that we have a great Country with a great Constitution.  We just need to use the Constitution more.  There are some reasons to be concerned about the latest judicial ruling concerning a press pass.

The Executive branch of government has a right to make rules.  The purpose of the press conference is to dispense information to the reporters!  There’s no law requiring the Executive to host press conferences at all, much less who can be invited.

When I was in office, I could decide if I wanted to talk to reporters and select which ones.  For reporters, information is critical.  Without access to the White House, reporters have no news to report.  A press briefing benefits the journalists.  For the journalists, no new facts means there is no new story.

  • It’s All Under Control

I went to Spokane Valley, Washington recently and was able to enjoy some fellowship with like-minded friends.  This is a picture of me with some of the members of leadership of the Washington State Constitution Party.  Next to me is Bob Peck, who recently wrote an excellent article on how to vote.  Everyone should read this.  In front are Sharon and Ted Baker.

I have never seen as much political mail as this election season!  One thing is clear:  As long as money impacts elections, the price tag will continue to escalate.  I didn’t weigh it, but the mailers I received felt like at least ten pounds!

We’ve survived many elections.  Some resulted in public offices and others resulted in greater victories than what can be measured by electoral success.  Regardless of the results of the number of votes cast, life goes on and people continue with their daily work.

If you’ve done your civic duty to support those who align with Biblical morals and withhold your support from those who fund abortion, Socialism and sexual perversion, you can feel satisfied regardless of the outcome.

  • Voter Manipulation

The Friends of the Zoo have plenty of money to mail this to all the voters.  All I can say is that he is a very cute cheetah.  But…is it worth putting your neighbors into financial bondage ???

Political science is the study of how to manipulate voters.  Those who are studying political science are getting plenty of content this year.  We can all agree that this is a really cute cheetah, but what is the question on the ballot?  The sad truth is that this cute cheetah is going to get a lot of taxpayer dollars for the zoo.  Most voters think the question is “Do you like the zoo?”

Here’s another mailer I received for the tax increase:

  • Honesty in Politics

Me with two of my daughters.  They  know more about campaigns than most kids. Yes, it’s Momplicated!

How many of you can’t wait until the election gets over so we can get back to normal?  How many of you are sick of getting your mailboxes stuffed and all the ads on TV?  Millions of dollars are being spent because advertising changes the minds of voters.  But how much of it is honest?

Candidates can say anything they want during campaign time.  It is not binding after the election.  If a candidate promises something and then changes, the election cannot be undone.  That’s why Claire McCaskill is trying so hard to make sure the voters are not aware of how far to the left she leans.  Here is the video of her showing how hard she works to camouflage her real motives.  Will she be smoked out this time around, or will the voters trust whichever side has the most ads?

  • The Democratic Party

    This picture says it all.

When I lived in Massachusetts, so many of my friends were Democrats, I didn’t know anyone who was a Republican.  They were Democrats from birth and they believed their Party was about helping blue collar workers get higher wages, which was supposed to help strengthen families.

If they could see what the Democratic Party has become today, especially with what happened to the Justice Kavanaugh confirmation, it would have sickened them.  It’s obvious that we’re playing with a different set of rules.

The Democratic party today is against the values that made America strong – life, liberty, and economic freedom.  They may try to claim a concern about morality, but it’s a humanistic Pseudo-morality, not a Biblical morality.  This party has made a mockery out of the Constitution and believes the ends justify the means.  What they did to the Kavanaugh confirmation process turned it into a political lynching that nobody in this Country deserves to suffer.

  • The Kavanaugh Hearings

We’ve been told that we can avoid the stress of Washington by staying away.  But what happens when Washington DC comes to you?  This week, my son from Washington DC came to visit us and we had a great time.  Not everything from Washington is doom and gloom!

The old expression is, “Give ’em enough rope to hang themselves.”  But what happens if you give them enough rope to hang you?  The Democratic Party is cranking out false allegations like dime store novels.  The sad truth is they can keep going as long as the Republican Party allows this to continue.

The Senate can easily fix this by enacting a rule that only allows allegations that are accompanied by an adjudicated case with a guilty finding or a current police report.

Without any legal finding, the Senate Committee acts like the law enforcement division.  When I was in the House of Representatives, I had to frequently remind myself and others of the limits of our jurisdiction.  The Senators need a job description to protect them from being turned into judge and jury of criminal cases, which is a mockery of a real court.

  • We Need Each Other!

Just me and a few faithful friends.  Our friends keep us going when the going gets tough.

It’s exasperating watching the U. S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings! If Brett Kavanaugh is not confirmed, Trump should appoint someone even more philosophically conservative. Perhaps that will teach the game players to resist the urge to trash a decent person and give us some satisfaction in the end.

The U. S. Constitution does not require Supreme Court hearings. It requires a senate confirmation, but not the shenanigans, (i.e. non-germane questions, political grandstanding and disorderly conduct). Here are three reasons we should get rid of the confirmation hearings. Regardless of political outcomes, we should not lose heart.

It can be lonely out there! Lots of us have been trying to make a difference in our municipalities, states and our Country. Political activism works best when it’s fun…And it’s more fun when we’re joined by others who share our passion and vision for a better future.

  • What’s Up with the Kavanaugh Hearings?

Ha.  Ha.  I’m sure the Post Dispatch didn’t intend it to endorse Kavanaugh as a future saint. We will be watching to see if it’s true.

It’s hard to believe these are grown adults when you watch people getting arrested at a public hearing for something that’s supposed to be dignified.  Many of the Democrat protesters are treating this hearing as if we were holding an election on whether abortion should be legal in our Country.

The party of the KKK, in favor of killing millions of unborn, Jim Crow Laws, Robert Byrd, sexual perversion, slavery and opposition to the Civil Rights Act now says one moderate Republican judge is an existential threat to our Democracy.

  • Agenda

Just a friendly sword fight to get everyone thinking about politics.

Last week the United States Senate voted to continue funding abortion through Planned Parenthood.  Many of us have wondered, “What’s it going to take to save America?”  If all of us do whatever we can do, we could turn this Country around tomorrow.

The world says, “Tolerance is love”.  but that’s not true.  Tolerance is the opposite of love.  Tolerance is lazy apathy.  Love is sacrificial action.  A loving person would give a warning to our neighbors in a loving way.  Real truth is helpful.  If our neighbor’s house were on fire, would it be right to let it burn because we’re tolerating the smell of smoke?  As long as the fire doesn’t spread to my house, it’s none of my business?

  • Making Babies

    I hope you’re having a great summer!

There’s an old commercial that ends with the punch line, “It’s not nice to fool mother nature!”

Yet, that’s what we attempt to do all the time.

When it comes to medical technology, especially creating life and ending life, medical science definitely has a hand to play.  The question is where the moral line should be drawn.  What is the right public policy about how to end a life or surrogate motherhood or what to do with frozen embryos that nobody wants anymore?
