“Nil desperandum, — Never Despair. That is a motto for you and me. All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it.”
― Samuel Adams
So how do we fight against discouragement? We need to go back to our National Motto: “IN GOD WE TRUST”.
I am encouraged by YOU! At least there are some people out there who understand what’s going on in our Nation. You, my reader, understand more than most people, but I want you to know what a blessing it is to me to hear your replies to my newsletters and knowing that you are out there joining us in supporting our efforts.
We must vote for representatives who have sound judgment, integrity, fortitude and the moral leadership necessary to restore our Country. If you want to gain a deeper understanding of why I would engage in the battle, please take the time to look at the scorecards. There are plenty of organizations that want to help us connect the dots.
Do you ever get discouraged about the condition of our country? There’s hope. Our values are still worth fighting for. On our show today, you’ll hear me ask the real questions about why our representatives tend to betray us.
There is a general sense of disgust and frustration over the mess in Washington D.C. , but as you listen to our guest, you’ll come away with solutions and encouragement.
Today we get to talk with Doug Sachtleben. Doug is the Communications Director of Club for Growth.
Club for Growth was recently mentioned in a National Review story about how the next focus needs to be on Congressional Races. Doug is here to put it all together for us and help us make sense out of this election cycle.
Cynthia called in to the Gary Nolan show to discuss her run for the U.S. House and why she is opposing the incumbent.
I was on the Marc Cox show last week. If you want to hear the segment, you can click here:
When some people hear about any problem, their first reaction is to try to figure out how government can fix it. While government can solve some problems, government can’t solve everything. When government does solve a problem, it usually comes with a high price tag, is less efficient than if we solved it ourselves and may harm others with unintended consequences.
Congress has the lowest approval rating in history. It is now down to 11% approval. If we continue to give these legislators more time in Washington to continue ruining our country, then it’s no wonder people are losing their optimism.
All rested up and ready to go back into the political arena. Join me as we deliver the message that we need to fire Congress!
Some people are wondering why I would want to get back into that “dirty business”. As hard as I have tried to look the other way, our culture demands that we do something for our Country.
If you don’t want to be a candidate yourself, join me in the battle for the soul of our Nation. That’s why I went to Jefferson City today to file for US Congress. We are starting our “Fire Congress Tour” where I will be visiting each one of our 13 counties in the next few days.
I enjoy this episode because it helps me feel better to know there’s something we can do. It seems like our representatives are all talk, but no walk. All jawbone, but no backbone. I’m pretty sick of it myself.
On today’s edition of Home Front, we give you a tool you can use to hold your elected officials accountable. Our guest, Ben Evans, comes to us from Heritage Action for America. Ben Evans is the Central Regional Coordinator for Heritage Action.
You will get to hear an insider’s glimpse on how to get our Congress back.
On our show today, you get an insider’s glimpse from a Congressional candidate, Paul Berry III.
He speaks the truth and gives us what we need to know about the political dynamics in play this next election cycle.
You’ll catch some insights into how the government is heading the wrong way and what we are doing to set the country on a new course.
On today’s episode, I interview William J Federer, one of America’s most prominent historians. Bill is also a prolific writer and has authored more than 20 books. He ran for congress in St. Louis and even visited my office in Missouri’s Capitol when I was in the legislature.
You can sign up for Bill’s daily e-mail, The American Minute at www.americanminute.com
As a bonus at the end of this episode, I share some remarks made by my representative in the U. S. Congress with my own commentary inserted. We do this to help you hear and think about what is in those sound bites.
When is enough enough? It’s wearisome to constantly get e-mail messages informing us of the travesty being perpetrated on us by our government. We’re asked, even begged to take action by calling, writing and signing petition after petition. We know the man in the White House is a disappointment, but we expect more from our Republican dominated Congress.
Before October of this year, we had a “Debt Ceiling” that required some restraint from both Parties. This year during the budget votes, our Congress got rid of it.
This newsletter doesn’t allow me to even begin to scratch the surface of the wreckage we face due to the actions of those we sent to Washington. During their campaigns, they all promised to make things better. However, Senator Lankford from Oklahoma produced a document showing some examples of flagrant ineptness from our Congress. This is the article: Federal Fumbles
Have you ever noticed that a lot of newcomers to America are Muslims? Why are they coming to small towns instead of the big cities? Who is paying for them to be here? And most importantly, will they assimilate? We get into these questions.
On today’s episode of Home Front, we interview Ann Corcoran from Refugee Resettlement Watch. Ann Corcoran is the editor of the Refugee Resettlement Watch and author of a book called Refugee Resettlement and Hijra to America.
