What Are We Fighting For?

What Are We Fighting For 1

“Nil desperandum, — Never Despair. That is a motto for you and me. All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it.”

― Samuel Adams

So how do we fight against discouragement?  We need to go back to our National Motto:  “IN GOD WE TRUST”.

I am encouraged by YOU!  At least there are some people out there who understand what’s going on in our Nation.  You, my reader, understand more than most people, but I want you to know what a blessing it is to me to hear your replies to my newsletters and knowing that you are out there joining us in supporting our efforts.

We must vote for representatives who have sound judgment, integrity, fortitude and the moral leadership necessary to restore our Country. If you want to gain a deeper understanding of why I would engage in the battle, please take the time to look at the scorecards.  There are plenty of organizations that want to help us connect the dots.

It’s still worth staying in the fight.  There is a general sense of dismay and frustration over the mess in Washington DC.  Your vote still matters.

I encourage myself by remembering that there are about 95 members of the House of Representatives who are still brave and strong.  While some people may think that is not even half, it’s better than it was in Missouri when we barely had more than 30 conservatives.

As long as there are elections, we can still make a difference.  It’s time to send new people with a new tone to Washington, DC.  We can change our Congress!

Share your thoughts with me and others below.

WHAT YOU CAN DO…

1.) Call your local radio stations and newspapers and ask them to invite me on as a guest. Their definition of “newsworthy press” depends heavily on the appetite of their audience. We make a difference when we get an opportunity to articulate our side. This shapes public opinion.

2.) I am running for Congress, however the purpose of this newsletter is to be educational. If you are interested in our campaign, if you want to donate or volunteer you can go to: CynthiaDavis.us That is the place where you can learn more about what we are doing on the campaign trail, volunteer and donate to the cause.

4.) We’re asking for donations to promote awareness of Home Front. Even $5 or $10 will go a long way. If you want to contribute to this effort, it will help others become aware of our newsletter and our show. Our newsletter and podcast will educate others. Please consider sending a donation to keep us going. Since we do not have any other funding stream, your donation will be extremely helpful, especially for the sake of our caring intervention. Many people do not realize we are a volunteer entity and rely on their assistance along with God’s leading to continue. If you would like to help, please mail a check to:

Wish that I could vote for you in the primary. I was done with Blaine when he was my rep. I’m now stuck with Vicky, and she’s not much better than Blaine.

    Good luck and God bless.

Go get him, Cynthia! Where I live, “Blame” Luetkemeyer is considered somewhat of a “local boy,” and I can tell you that after his very first term, we CEASED to be impressed! You’ve had my vote since before you even started your campaign! I sure do hope you win, and you WILL if there is anything that’s in my power to do in that regard! I got very little money, but I have a very big mouth!

    Cynthia,
Thank you for the encouragement of your meaningful words.
They aren’t just catch-phrases that we constantly hear from Washington. (terms like: ” our children and grandchildren” “simply cannot sustain itself” and “support our troops” “our hearts and prayers”) These words should have great meaning, but they sound belittling to me now-they have been uttered so much on a daily basis with no true action behind the greatness of the words.
You are appreciated so much. Keep moving to your goal and we are here.

My husband and I agree with you that we need a smaller government and a real conservative representing us. You are the one we need to help bring our country back to the great nation it was and can be again.
I would like to have one of your political “vote for Cynthia Davis” signs placed in my front yard.

Unfortunately, so much of the time we send someone to Congress as a Conservative, and the longer they are there, the further away from Conservatism they get. I posted scores from Congress, from Conservative Review, which are based on the Constitution; a few at the top were 100%, many toward the bottom are a big fat 0%. Just my personal opinion, those that score a consistent F, need to be booted out of Congress, since they are not obeying their oath of office. We have got to get rid of McCaskill, I’m getting tired of her lies, like when she said if the UN terrorist Small Arms Treaty would take away from gun rights, she would vote against it. Yea! right.
