• Matt Hammitt – Lead Me

    Play

Families are struggling like never before to stay together and have an impact on our culture. What can you do to keep your family together? Today we share with you several secrets for how to prioritize what’s most important.

My guest, Matt Hammitt, is an American singer, songwriter, speaker and author. Matt was the lead singer and songwriter for the band Sanctus Real from 1996-2016. Today we discuss the topic of finding courage to fight for your marriage, children, and faith, as addressed in Matt’s new book, Lead Me.

  • Turbans and Hijabs in the Military

In the news this week, we now have this going on in our military:

The United States Air Force updated its official dress code policy this month, in observance of religious practices, to allow military personnel to wear turbans or hijabs as a part of the uniform…. In addition to religious apparel, members also can request permission to have unshorn beards and unshorn hair. If the length of the beard exceeds 2 inches, it must be “rolled and or tied” to meet the new standards.”

On the surface it appears that the management is trying to be nice to everybody, but where is our discipline? This “political correctness” is going to kill us.

The military shows NO TOLERANCE when it comes to forcing our military to be injected with vacinations.  Even if people have bad reactions, they have to throw their careers in the trash if they refuse even the flu vaccine!  Take the jab or you will be discharged!  No options!

As a military mom, this makes me angry.  When someone puts on the uniform, it is supposed to mean loyalty to the Country first.

    SPECIAL IMPEACHMENT PODCAST:

    Nancy Pelosi’s American History Lesson

For years when I was in the legislature I watched as the Democrats acted like they didn’t understand the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence or the political philosophy of our founding fathers.  So, it comes as a surprise when they start quoting our founding documents as if they have any meaning in their actions.

We are either part of the problem or part of the solution.  When someone is wrong, it is important to call him or her out for it.  Otherwise, we become part of the problem.

So, this speech from Nancy Pelosi came at the same time my son needed to do a project for a high school class.  Why not do both — inform, educate and create a project where you can hear special affects whenever someone needs to be corrected.    One of the biggest surprises is that Nancy admits that the reason they had to impeach Trump was to keep him from getting reelected.  We don’t often hear this much honesty, but listen for it and be shocked like I was.

Despite her efforts to claim she’s somber and humble, she sounds like she just woke up from a long nap or just took a tranquilizer.  I think she has a conscience problem.  If you listen to the tone of her voice, she doesn’t sound like even she is convinced this is the right thing to do.  It’s almost like a speech writer put this in front of her and she’s reading it out of duress.

This is designed to be both humorous and insightful, so enjoy!

From our house to yours, we hope you have a blessed Christmas Season!

During this time, it’s easy to become distracted with all the negativity happening in our Country.  But these nasty moments in Washington, DC allow us a great opportunity to share the truth with those who are willing to learn.

  • Dean Sharp – Where Did My Country Go?

    Play

Have you ever been discouraged with the direction the Country is heading? On our show today, we talk about strategies for how we can make a difference. It only takes 3% of the population to change everything.  The real question is are you one of the 3% ?

Our guest, Dean Sharp, is a business executive, family man and the author of two books, Where Did My Country Go and Taking My Country Back (written under his pen name, R Dean Chrisco).

  • What Happened To Our Country?

This is a picture of the people acting up at the Galleria in St. Louis last Saturday.  So sad that they need to cause a ruckus, but unless our Country gets more godly, we may be in for more of the same.

These are not “protesters”. They are rioters.

If they were interested in justice, they would be at the courthouse.  If they had any honor or credibility, they would not be destroying private property.

These people are filled with hate against God and man. I hope they are required to pay back everything they destroyed, plus a penalty, or else they will do it again.

  • Chick-fil-A

The left is having a heyday criticizing all conservative organizations with hopes to change our culture.  Using bully tactics, its goal is to bring harm to not only Chick-fil-A, but after being successful, moving on to other targets.  No church, individual or philanthropic organization is safe.

Chick-fil-A was more about the environment, Christian music and polite staff than only the food.  Many people supported it for larger reasons.  When presented with a choice, many good, family-oriented people wanted to support Chick-fil-A as a statement of voting with their pocketbooks.

Before you vow to never go to Chick-fil-A again over its revised donation strategy, I have some good news that should help us “cool our jets”.

  • Joyce Smith – Breakthrough

    Play

On Today’s episode, we interview Joyce Smith.  Joyce is the author of The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother’s Love and Her Son’s Resurrection.

Sometimes we have to simply restate the truth:

1.)  God is who He says He is.

2.)  He can do what He says He can do.

3.)  I am who God says I am.

    4.) I’m believing God.

On our show today we discuss the phone call no parent ever wants to receive.

She shared the story of when her son broke through the ice in a lake and nearly died.  This is the story upon which the film BREAKTHROUGH is based.  Joyce is a mom and has a remarkable story to tell us about faith, hope and love.

  • The Heart of a Missionary

This is a picture of me, my husband and Ric and Cathy Nelson.  They are missionaries.   Everybody is a missionary of some sort.  It all comes down to what we focus on as our mission in life.

It’s easy to get so wrapped up in all the nonsense happening in our National Government that we forget there are people on their way to hell….but maybe I’m repeating the same thing!  As much as we would like to take a break from the political stuff, most issues are still political!

So, if you’re watching the news this week and thinking about how bad it is out there, give yourself a break and listen to our show to hear about the good things that are happening in the world around us.
