Fake News

My mom called me to say she just watched BBC World News. She said it was so refreshing getting to watch something other than “Trump bashing” every night.

I don’t watch much TV, but I don’t have any appetite to watch more of the childish antics of sore losers.  Perhaps I’m too young to remember a time when we had more disunity in our Country, but it appears that we have hit a low point.

My mom is 86 years old. She’s read the newspaper nearly every day for her entire life (Boston Globe or St. Louis Post-Dispatch). She told me how refreshing it is to just hear the facts and not have the reporters tell her how she should think and feel about the facts. She wants to be free to make up her own mind—as we all should.

The problem is that we have different visions and goals for our Country.  Some people want to make America great again.  Others want to make America “ungovernable”.  They want to run the Country their way or dissolve us into chaos, create more crises and then shift us to the left by selling us solutions to the problems they created.  Our problems are not as simple as a few people are mad that their candidate didn’t win.  There are people actively trying to prevent our government from functioning.  Most media outlets are fueling this by their incessant focus on those eroding our civility.

Riots and protests accomplish nothing but destruction.  When the media participates in sensationalizing and glamorizing property damage, it propagates more of this kind of behavior.  These are nothing more than efforts to disorient and confuse the public.  We owe it to ourselves and our Country to not fall for these attempts to manipulate the public.

Here are a few thoughts about it from my friends:

1.)  It wears you down. Even our local Fox station has taken to bashing him. It infuriates the way they call him Trump rather than President Trump. ~ Stan G.

2.)  Chris Wallace is an abomination !  Saw his “interview” with Reince Priebus yesterday – nothing but argumentation, constant interrupting by this arrogant, loud-mouthed, self-worshiper!  Why does FOX keep this nasty dude ?  ~ Mary R.

3.)  “Most of the commentaries are Trump-bashing liberals. They appear to be stirring up dissension and division so that this president will be viewed as incompetent. They seem willing to put the country at risk to hinder him in everything he tries to do.” ~ Audrey H.

3.)  I filed a complaint with the FCC on all the main stream media for not providing a public service, disseminating false information and trying to tell people what to think I wish more people would also complain to the FCC. ~ Len H.

4.)  Trump could announce a cure for cancer, and the Left would protest that he’s stealing jobs from cancer researchers.  Josh E.

Yet, there’s plenty to be happy about!

First, we have the ability to think for ourselves.  They may be setting the table, but we don’t have to eat their fake food!  It’s either time for a new restaurant or time to make dinner at home now.  The Spirit of America started with saying, “We’re not going to let you shove your ideology down our throats any longer.”  There are still many Americans who are strong enough to see through the propaganda.

Second, we have other ways to get our news.  President Trump explained this problem in his press conference this week.  Years ago, we would have had to watch it live or listen to the spin later.  Thanks to the internet, we can watch just the highlights anytime.

Third, 99% of all the complaining we are hearing from the left is NOTHING BUT NOISE.  It can’t harm us.  They are powerless to stop the progress of our movement.  They’re trying to stop our movement toward better government and they can’t.

The only technique left is to attempt obnoxious behavior through chaos, anarchy and obstructionism.  The administration is working around every obstacle being thrown at it.  Our Country is moving forward with or without the mainstream media.

We can win this battle if we remember who we are!

The skewed reporting of mainstream media has tarnished its credibility.  More people are looking to other sources to learn the facts.

In our Country, we operate on the principle of supply and demand.  If we quit buying, they’ll quit selling.  As long as we continue to feed at the trough, we’re going to get the same.

So, how do you get your news?

WHAT YOU CAN DO…

1.)  You can complain to Fox News by dialing this number:  1-888-369-4762, then Extension 3.  This gets you to the Fox Customer Service Department.  Call and complain about Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace and all the other newscasters who are pushing their philsophy instead of doing actual reporting.

2.)  It’s still helpful to write letters to editors of newspapers or post comments on blogs.  We all have a part to play in shaping the direction of public policy and shaping the perception of public policy.  Others will benefit from your helping to articulate the right way to govern.  The left is pushing so hard right now, let’s try to keep it even.  Use Facebook, write a letter to your local paper, make comments on other articles found on blogs or online publications.  It will do your own heart good and might change the minds of others.

3.)  Invite me to speak.  If you have an event where you need a speaker, please let me know.  I am dedicating my energy on the places where I can make the greatest difference.  Please let the meeting organizer know that I can help your group understand the intersection of government and families in a way they may have never known before.  If you want me to come and help your efforts to educate and motivate your network, please click this button here:

4.)   The mission of Home Front continues.   We need your involvement to fund our ongoing efforts, research and equipment.  If you want to continue to support us in this effort, you can mail a check to this address:

A LITTLE BIT OF HUMOR

Did you nail it this week! My take: Liberalism and anarchy go hand in hand; The Left takes ‘scorched earth’ policy as a strategy; When you don’t control the House, the Senate, or the Presidency, if Trump accomplishes something good, what are you going to run on next time? THAT’S why they’re left with smearing, demonizing, ridiculing, diversion, and obstruction, hoping to craft a narrative of failure; what I’m seeing in all the Left’s hysterics is a totally self-centered generation unaccustomed to not being the center of the universe, not being pandered to and placated, not having every need and owee addressed with great sympathy, unable to graciously stand down and sit patiently while others have a turn; they are unfazed by truth or fact, which means that now, one person’s perception or bias is no better than someone else’s, and fact is irrelevant.
Where do I get my news? Primarily Fox News Channel in the a.m., 97.1 talk later. Radio station websites for additional local coverage. I refuse to pollute my mind with mainstream network newscasts. The Post-Disgrace is a newspaper in format only, with the radio station sites out-reporting them. I recently found the (UK’s) Daily Mail doing better reporting on an American story than I could get here. Sad.
