One of the parts of Thanksgiving I enjoy the most is the political discussions we have around the table. We can certainly thank our President and Congress for providing us with plenty of content for this year’s conversation!

Don’t be afraid of these loud discussions. Some people might be tempted to cower in the corner, but so long as we are respectful, these can be very powerful and teachable moments. A well timed conversation may move our country to a more intelligent and productive place. We can make a difference, one Thanksgiving table at a time.

    Happy Thanksgiving 1
There’s nothing like family. If you don’t have a family to share Thanksgiving with, my suggestion is that you find a family to join. Most people will be happy to have you over if you bring something to contribute to the meal. My daughter, at Kansas State University, offered to bring two extra people home with her so that they can experience Thanksgiving with a group. By the time they leave, we will have gotten them into our culture!
