• Changing Gun Laws in Our Missouri Constitution

This is a photo of me with my concealed carry license. Should I have had to get one? According to the U. S. Constitution "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." What does that mean?

Most voters will read the ballot language on August 5th and think the question is whether you are pro-gun or anti-gun. In Missouri, most people are pro-gun, so based upon that, it will probably pass.

However, without adding anything, our Missouri Constitution already covers this situation. Article I, Section 23 says, “That the right of every citizen to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or when lawfully summoned in aid of the civil power, shall not be questioned; but this shall not justify the wearing of concealed weapons.”
