Travel Ban

I hope we can all agree that we should have a ban on terrorists because they are a safety threat.  We need to find a better way to keep the bad actors out of our Country before more people get hurt.

The President of the United States can legitimately use the power of the executive order to enforce existing laws.  Some folks think executive orders are bad, but that’s because Obama attempted to use this process to legislate.  The President cannot make new laws, but he is supposed to execute laws already passed by Congress.  Obama selectively enforced laws he liked and refused to enforce laws with which he disagreed.

The only objections to Trump’s new policy revolve around two questions:

A. Is it Constitutional?  Yes.  You can read the full text of the order here.  The motivation is to protect our Country and it is fully within the rights of President to protect us.

B. Is it an appropriate way to deal with the threat of terrorism?  Yes.  We need to love our Country enough to protect it.  If a person were about to become a victim of a homicide, the self-preservation instinct should engage.   Unless something’s wrong with the brain or the body, normal people take actions to protect themselves.

If we love our Country, it behooves us to protect it.  It’s funny hearing those on the left complain that the travel ban is unconstitutional.  For eight years while Obama did unconstitutional acts, the Democrat Party never worried about the legality and the integrity of his actions.

We got so used to losing, many of us gave up the fight.  Now that the shoe is on the other foot, people on the left are staging protests as an outlet for all their anger.  As they grope at any allegation that may stick, yet given the last eight years, complaining about a lack of Constitutionality rings hollow.

Imagine having a party.  You invite some friends and neighbors.  If a gang of people come over whom you don’t know, especially if there are burglary problems in your neighborhood, you are under no obligation to let them into your house.  There’s no shame on the homeowner for denying entrance to people he doesn’t know.  The United States of America is not a subordinate of the United Nations!

The same is true with immigration.

We haven’t heard much about how to strengthen our Country for years, so I don’t expect average citizens to know how to do this.  However, I believe those running the Country are sincerely motivated to keep us safe and protect us from those who may be terrorists wanting to kill us.

Here is a collection of the best points made by some of my friends:

1.)  Never thought the rights of people from 7 terror nations and the illegals from Mexico’s rights would usurp mine and yours. The idiots like us getting up at 5 am to work and keep these jerks in Washington employed are the victims. That’s why trump was voted in. And why we will fight to keep him there.
~ Dave C.

2.)  “Foreigners do not have a constitutional right to enter our country!  We as citizens however, do have a right to protect our home soil using whatever means at our disposal. A 90 day halt so that we can tighten the vetting process is not too much to ask and Trump isn’t the only president to halt immigration in order to get others processed!!  I’m sick of the media and their mock outrage whilst clutching their pearls!!” ~ Jennifer B.

3.)  “You many not agree with the methods the new administration is using to stop terrorism but this is what we look forward to if we do not stop the invasion. I am thankful the new administration is taking this very seriously and doing all they can to protect the American Citizens. THAT IS their job you know first and foremost. Pray for them as they have to make this incredibly difficult decisions. At least they are doing something!.”  ~ Laurie K.

4.)  “Anyone with half a brain realizes that trumps ban is not anti Muslim.  But hey, it makes for a nice talking points.
Is he banning immigrants from Jordan?  No.
Is he banning immigrants from UAE? No.
Is he banning immigrants from Bahrain? No.
He is banning refugees from KNOWN TERRORIST HOT SPOTS AFTER SEEING WHAT HAPPENED IN FRANCE, GERMANY AND ENGLAND. It’s called protecting us.”
Many Republicans and even some Democrats warn that allowing Syrian refugees in is Russian roulette. They cannot be vetted because no records exist in the middle of a civil war and they’ve already had 3 shots at Germany France and England and it’s been a terrorist disaster.  Why would it be different here? It’s suicide. Yet low level judges and protesters don’t care about the American citizens of this nation who comprise every race and religion.
~ Dave C.

5.)  “The President is not tasked with presiding over the feelings of foreigners. He is responsible for the safety and security of the AMERICAN people.
~ Mike G.

6.)  “This Obama political appointee judge in New York does not have the legal standing to suspend President Trumps Executive Order.”

Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 states: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”   ~ William S.

7.)  “Of course, back in 2011 when Barack Obama banned Iraqi refugees for six months the far left said nothing! In 2011 the US discovered Al-Qaeda terrorists living as refugees in Kentucky. As a result of this discovery the Obama administration blocked all Iraqi refugees from entering the US for six months”
~ Gigi B.

8.)  “The last 7 presidents banned travel from certain countries for a time including Obama in 2011 and it’s entirely legal. But the democrats and the news media will spin it like it’s a new thing under trump.”  ~ Greg L.

9.)  “We should permanently ban any group of people who have no intention of assimilation. I am running out of patience for people who “stand with Muslims” who have zero understanding of what the political theology if Islam encompasses. They need to go live in a Muslim country. This picture irks me to no end. Women marching with this sign have no clue how bad it is for women in those countries.”  ~ Teresa T.

10.)  “What the left wants to do in the case of the Syrian refugees is use the power of the state to force an entire nation to welcome people into their midst without any effort to ensure that members of ISIS with evil intentions were filtered out. That’s not compassion. That’s national suicide….Knowing full well that this one of the enemy’s tactics, and doing absolutely nothing to prevent them from succeeding at it, is not “Christian compassion.”  It’s a dereliction of duty.”  ~ Dan C.

11.  “Watching Trump govern is so exciting it’s better then watching Dallas reruns. Oh wait BBC just announced Trump fired Assistant Attorney General. Can’t wait for tomorrow, can’t sleep.” – Nick

WHAT YOU CAN DO…

1.)   Don’t let anyone get away with calling this a Muslim Ban.  That’s a lie designed to replace intellectual debate with unfounded hysteria.

2.)  Don’t let anyone impugn our Government for being unloving.  Government does not have emotions.  It’s not the government’s job to soothe hurt feelings or make people happy.  It’s the government’s job to be principled and it’s up to the individual to love other people. The command to love our neighbor is personal, specific and one-on-one.

I received this from a friend:  If you are Catholic, please consider writing your thoughts to the Pope to encourage him to not support an anti-American, Socialist agenda.  Here is his address:

His Holiness, Pope Francis
Apostolic Palace
00120 Vatican City

Note: Do not write “Italy” on the envelope as the country. The Vatican is an independent nation, completely separate from Italy.

3.)  Invite me to speak.  If you have an event where you need a speaker, please let me know.  I am dedicating my energy on the places where I can make the greatest difference.  Please let the meeting organizer know that I can help your group understand the intersection of government and families in a way they may have never known before.  If you want me to come and help your efforts to educate and motivate your network, please click this button here:

4.)   The mission of Home Front continues.   We need your involvement to fund our ongoing efforts, research and equipment.  If you want to continue to support us in this effort, you can mail a check to this address:

Any Mid-easterners, Muslim or otherwise, should be admitted with Green Card status if they have earned it by working with us cooperatively and reliably. They should arrive quietly, on Military aircraft, and admitted without exposure to the General public at commercial airports.
If “Catholic Charities” can smuggle un-vetted Syrians into New Jersey on UPS charters in the middle of the night, it’s the least we can do for those who have earned the privilege .

It’s truly great being a despicable today. Imagine an executive office holder following the law. Now if we can get judges and attorneys to do the same we may restore some tranquility.
Latest news is that Mexico is devoting $50M to insure Mexicans their “rights” in the US. It’s a dream for immigration attorneys while the public pays for these illegals. If Mexico doesn’t wan them back, perhaps we can we can work a deal with Libya to to take them as field workers.

Finally someone in the White House with Balls and conviction to run our country and abide by the Rule of law. Go Donald.
