The Bill of Rights was adopted to put into words what we already should know instinctively. Unfortunately, we live in a confused country where our history and our heritage has not been taught for years in many places. People tend to forget the sacrifices of those who allowed us to enjoy the gift of freedom.

It’s my mission to remind us.

In my podcast this week, I interview Cecily Wright on the topic of the Bill of Rights and what is involved in the first ten amendments to our Constitution.

Those who like bigger and more intrusive government, as well as the radical Muslims, are hoping we will forget the Bill of Rights because it directly clashes with their premises.

Additionally, many people don’t realize that the Bill of Rights is a direct result of our Judeo-Christian foundation. When we lose our sense of God, we also lose our sense of morality, our ability to know the difference between right and wrong and the author of our liberty.

A recent article discussed that Americans are more worried about corruption in their elected officials, Americans Worry More About Politicians Than the Economy Poll. That’s for good reason. If our government becomes immoral, there is nothing left to support a strong economy.

“Free government requires active citizens.”

Should we have a “Movie Night” here in O’Fallon? I would love to hear from you. Please offer me your wisdom here: HomeFront@CynthiaDavis.net

WHAT YOU CAN DO…

1.) Listen and share with others. Let me know if you are interested in doing a “Movie Night” here at our bookstore. WE CAN PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST.

2.) A big thank you to all the kind people who have donated to make this possible for us to continue our future newsletters and pod-casts. Because we do not have any other funding stream, your donation will be extremely helpful in our efforts to communicate. Most people do not realize we are a volunteer entity and rely on your help and God’s leading to continue. You can mail a check to:
