Representative Cynthia Davis, a Republican, represents part of St. Charles County (District 19) in the Missouri House of Representatives. This includes parts of O'Fallon and Dardenne Prairie and unincorporated St. Charles County. She was elected to the House in 2002 and is currently serving in her third term.
Rep. Davis has been appointed to serve as the Majority Floor Whip. She was also elected by her peers to be the Secretary for the Women Legislators of Missouri and was also elected to be the Vice-President of First Capitol Federation of Republican Women. She is also serving as the Republican Committeewoman for the Dardenne Township.
Born in Chicago, Illinois and graduating from Needham High School in Needham, Massachusetts, she majored in music at Nyack College in Nyack, New York before marrying her high school sweetheart, Bernie Davis. She has been a resident of O'Fallon, Missouri since 1984 and served several leadership responsibilities.
Prior to her public service, Rep. Davis and her husband opened Back to Basics Christian Bookstore in 1989, and was a recipient of the O'Fallon Business Association's "Business of the Year Award". She was elected to five consecutive terms on the O'Fallon Board of Aldermen and served as President of the Board in 1995. Rep. Davis and her husband, Bernie, have seven children: John, Benjamin, Cathryn, Matthew, Amanda, Susanna and Philip.
